The esbats & sabbats of 2027 give us a way to tune in to the ever-changing natural world.
As the seasons change and the moon waxes and wanes, Mother Earth continually reminds us that nothing stays exactly the same.
For the green witch, the points of the Wheel of the Year offer us moments to stop, observe the natural world, and then consider what’s happening within us. Same with the esbats.
Through these days, we have a unique opportunity to honor Mother Earth and live a little more intentionally. Witchery is a path of personal growth as well as a spiritual one.
This guide to the significant dates of 2027 is here to help you plan your rituals, seasonal celebrations, personal reflections, and even your everyday magick.
Let’s look at the year ahead.
The Dates for 2027
Each new calendar year offers twelve months of lunar cycles and eight seasonal sabbats.
How you work with these is up to you.
Maybe you like to work with every lunar cycle or perhaps just the sabbats appeal to you. Choose elaborate rituals or even just a moment to step outside and have a look at the natural world. All of these things are valid ways to practice your craft. For me, just noticing the moon phase or lighting a single candle on the evening of a sabbat feels sacred all by itself.
Use these dates as guides, but always let your own relationship with the natural world determine how and when you celebrate.
Note: All times listed are for the U.S. Eastern Time Zone and were put together from Llewelyn’s Magical Almanac. It’s indispensable to me, and you can get a copy here.
My Companion for the Year Ahead
Llewellyn’s Magical Almanac is one of those things that I keep with my journal so that I can look at it each morning before I start my day. I check the lunar and planetary information to help me understand what might influence my day, but it also has a lot of other useful things inside too.

The Full Moons of 2027
The Full Moon brings things into greater visibility. It’s also the perfect time to notice what’s complete and what’s ready to be released.
The lunar cycle offers us moments for expressing gratitude in between the phases and opportunities for deep reflection at the new and full moon.
Along with those go chances for cleansing, divination, and ritual. Observing these things might be as simple as spending a few minutes standing in the moonlight, journaling about what has come to pass in your life, or simply going outside to admire the moon.

☿ Mercury Retrograde for 2027
Mercury retrograde has a reputation for communication mix-ups, delays, tech troubles, and plans that suddenly get rearranged. We have all felt the impact in our lives.
However, I like to see each one as an opportunity to review unfinished projects, check details, reconsider if things are working for me and reconnect with things that I’ve put on the back burner. It’s also a good time to allow yourself some extra grace when things don’t go as planned.
Here are the Mercury retrograde periods for 2027:
February 9 – March 3
June 10 – July 4
October 7 – 28
Wrapping Up The Esbats & Sabbats of 2027
Let these dates invite you to reconnect with your practice and Mother Earth.
Everyday life can get in the way sometimes, but remember that simple things like noticing the change of seasons or watching the moon make a little space to remember the magick in the ordinary things.
Don’t forget to live your magick, every single day.
Blessed be.
