Win your Mornings – Tips to Start your Day off Right!
What’s morning success all about? It’s simply that how you start your day matters.
A positive morning sets the tone for a positive day.
Win your mornings with a morning success ritual. I love these and include several things in my own morning ritual every day. I hope you’ll be inspired to create your own.
Morning Success Rituals are made up of the things you do to get your day started. Not the things you do, like brushing your teeth or getting dressed, but the small, meaningful things that start your day off right. Like lingering over coffee on your porch or getting up before everyone else so you can enjoy the quiet time alone. These small things can have a huge impact on your day and your quality of life. Yes, really!
These rituals can be short, like repeating a mantra a few times, or saying a few affirmations. Or they can include physical activity, meditation, journaling, oracle, or tarot card pulls. Anything goes! Choose anything that feels right to you. Need inspiration? Keep reading!
There’s no right or wrong way to do these. They can be 5 minutes or 90 minutes. It’s all up to you!
The main goal is to prepare you for the day and get your day started off in a positive, meaningful way.

What is your reason for using a morning success ritual (MSR)?
Do you just want to get your day started in a positive way? Or do you have specific goals in mind? Are you using this time to support a larger goal you are working on? Do you have a special concern that you are supporting through MSR?
What’s your Why?
If you’re not sure, journaling can help you figure out how an MSR can best serve you. Here are a few prompts you could use:
- What do I want my mornings to look like?
- What goal am I working on right now?
- How would my perfect day begin?
- What does it mean to me to begin my day in a positive way?
Once you know your why, you can customize your MSR to be exactly what you need.
How much time do you have in your mornings?
Your schedule will probably determine just what you include in your MSR.
Do you have a few minutes, or do you have an hour?
Would you be willing to get up earlier to extend the time you can spend each morning on your MSR? Perhaps that requires going to bed sooner to ensure you get proper rest. Is that possible?
Can you coordinate time around your family, kids, pets, or other obligations?
You might have to get creative in order to fit it in. Pull out your journal and write down your ideas about how to make this fit into your life.

Once you have decided on your why and how much time you have available to you to create your custom morning ritual, then it’s time to design your very own MSR! Here are some ideas to consider:
- Intention setting (before you get out of bed)
- Affirmations
- Meditation or Guided Meditation
- Oracle or Tarot Card Pulls
- Time spent outdoors, either meditating or exercising
- Gratitude Journal
- Physical Activity
- Journaling
- Reading a positive book
- Repeating a mantra that’s meaningful to you
- Prayer
- Create artwork or color in a coloring book
