New Moon in Virgo

New Moon in Virgo - Using this new moon in your life

Every month, you can use the energies of the new moon to help give your life a bit of a boost and not just with manifesting, (although that should certainly give things a boost!).  Here we’ll take a look at some ideas to inspire you to use this Virgo new moon in your life.

Taking a look at the qualities of each new moon, you can use its specific qualities to help you plan, organize, improve or in some way give your life a little bit of a “makeover”.

After all, working with the moon is about changing your life, improving your relationships (including the one you have with yourself through knowing yourself better) and bringing joy, a little bit of magic and even more financial abundance into your life.

Virgo new moon carries with it several fantastic qualities that you can work with, but in this post, I’m only going to focus on the organization that Virgo supports.  I’ve heard Virgo described as the workhorse or the bean counter of the zodiac – no matter how you choose to think of it, you can harness this organizational energy in your own life by working with this new moon.

How organized are you?

Does the term “organized” give you reason to just want to hide?  Are you dealing with controlled chaos instead of organization?  Hey, I’m not judging, since controlled chaos is perfectly acceptable to me.  (insert cackle here)

Does your home or office look a bit like your kitchen junk drawer?  Or does it look like Marie Kondo was just at your place?

Take an inventory of what needs doing.  Then give each item on your list a number between 1 & 3 with #1 being the most important to do and #3 being the least important to do.

Now pick the top thing that you labeled #1 and give that your full attention.

Start with just one thing, otherwise, this gets overwhelming and then progress just stops.

You can do the rest later.

Tip:  Keep reading for other ideas about what you might want to organize before you do this part.

Declutter with the new moon -Does your life need a decluttering?

Maybe your home or office are fine, but you could use a bit of straightening up in your life.

September can be like a new opportunity to take stock.  See what’s what.  Evaluate what you still want to do this year and review the progress you’ve made.

This bit of reflection is like fuel for moving forward so don’t leave that out.

Then ask yourself:

  • Are there things still to accomplish by the end of the year?
  • Are there things I’ve left half-done?
  • Things still on the back burner?

Maybe there’s even things that you don’t really even want or need to do anymore.  Things that don’t serve you? Those can just be purged off your list.  (whew, that feels good, right?)

This  new moon in Virgo can help support you as you get a plan together to get these goals completed.

Do you have actual clutter to clear?

I’ve been working on a downsize project for two years now.  I moved and this stuff that has just been sitting around in boxes needs my focused attention.

I’ve moved the boxes about 3 times from spot to spot without actually dealing with the contents inside.

These items have emotional connections. Much of it belonged to my late grandmother or my late mother.  This triggers me and I find myself unable to make a decision about what to do with these things.  So then I do nothing.

To my credit, I did donate or sell off a lot of the things.  So I have made some progress. I just haven’t been able to complete it.

I know they’re just things.  I know there’s probably no reason to keep them.  I know that they would tell me not to keep things that are just stored, things not loved or used.

It doesn’t make sense, but here it is…..sigh.

I’ll be using this new moon in Virgo to double down on my intentions to complete this project.

I have plans for this space that this stuff now occupies. Plans I can’t move forward on until I get through everything. That helps guide me forward.  Knowing that I have a goal for this space – one that supports me (and sparks joy!) in ways that clutter doesn’t.

So if this is you too, keep your eye on the prize.  Give yourself some grace.  Breathe and begin.  One box at a time.  One item at a time.

I’m committing to a box a day.  I have to sort and decide.  No exceptions.  I’ll update you on my progress.

Your finances & food

How’s your financial life?  The new moon in Virgo is a great time to declutter that as well.  Whether you’re looking at starting a savings plan or paying off existing debt, this would be a good time to plan for it.

What about your diet?  How’s that going?  If it isn’t on point, you can make a plan for that too.

Summary

Don’t try to do all the things at once.  That only leads to overwhelm and paralysis.

Choose just one area.  Make a plan. Work that plan.  Then you can do another.  And another.  Whatever it takes.

Be sure to give yourself some grace.  Keep your eye on the prize.
