Witch, You Already Know: Rituals to Remember Your Power

In this post, we’ll explore rituals to remember your power along with everyday witchcraft practices that help you rebuild self-trust—and stop giving away your power.

There comes a time on every witch’s path when we look around and realize just how much of ourselves we’ve handed away.

Sometimes it happens during a major life shift. Other times, it sneaks up on a random Tuesday afternoon as you stand in line for your caffeine fix. You suddenly find yourself wondering when your magick started to feel a little hollow.

We give our power to gurus and influencers. To the algorithm. To the meaning of a tarot card instead of what our gut is screaming.

To books, teachers, traditions. Sometimes even to people who never earned our trust in the first place. (I’m guilty of this, how about you?)

And then we wonder:

  • Why doesn’t this feel like it used to?
  • Why do my rituals feel like they fall flat?
  • Why do I second-guess every choice?

Let’s tell it like it is: you were never meant to give your power away.

Not to me. Not to anyone.

At Ravynwood, we believe the path back to power is a return to yourself. It’s not some romantic notion.

It isn’t about learning something new. It’s about remembering what you already know. What you’ve always known in your bones, breath, and spirit.

And it begins with rebuilding trust in your own inner wisdom.

(Trusting it like you did before the world beat it out of you.)

Here, we also believe that witchery isn’t just about spells and rituals—it’s a living, breathing path of personal growth, empowerment, and cultivating joy. Our magick is most potent when it roots into the real: our healing, our wholeness, our ability to reclaim what the world tried to strip away.

How We Lose Our Power (Without Even Noticing)

Losing your power (or giving it away) rarely looks dramatic. It often looks ordinary. Familiar. Even well-intentioned.

It looks like:

  • Asking everyone’s opinion before trusting your own
  • Reading your third astrology report or card spread of the day because you’re afraid to choose
  • Waiting for the “perfect” moon phase to do something you’re already called to do
  • Avoiding decisions because you “don’t know enough yet”

It happens when we’ve been conditioned to doubt ourselves. When we’ve been taught that answers live outside of us, that permission must come from someone else.

But nature doesn’t operate like that. And neither do you.

Nature Rituals to Remember Your Power

The Ravynwood Way invites us back into relationship with the land—not just its beauty which is inherently soothing to our soul, but also as healer, teacher, and mirror.

Nature has a quiet way of reminding us how to trust ourselves again. I had to learn this the hard way, during a time when my world was turned upside down. It was nature that anchored me. Not in theory, but in practice. I’m ever grateful for it too.

Here are three rituals to help you come back to your own knowing:

1. Ramble (Take a Walk Without a Destination in Mind)

Let your body lead. Find a patch of wild space ( this can be a trail, a field, a garden path), and walk without planning where you’ll end up. Let your feet decide. Let your senses take over.

This ritual tells your nervous system: You know where to go. You can trust yourself to choose.

2. Fire Release (Yes, Even in Summer)

Write down where you’ve been giving your power away. Be honest. Be specific. Then safely burn it.

As the flames rise, whisper:

As the flames flicker, whisper to them:

“I call my power back from every place I’ve left it.”

Imagine seeing these bits and bobs come back to you like putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

3. Self-Blessing with Earth Offerings

Collect what’s in season—berries, herbs, petals, water from a local stream. Create a simple altar. Anoint yourself in your favorite way. Speak aloud the truths you do trust yourself to know.

Prepare ahead of time by journaling this list out if you need to.

Nature doesn’t ask you to be perfect. She wants you to be present.

Everyday Witchy Rituals to Remember Your Power

Not everything has to be a full-blown ritual.

At Ravynwood, we believe that magick lives in the everyday things we do.

Here are simple ways to build your self-trust:

  • Stir your tea or coffee and ask, “What do I know to be true today?”
  • Pull a card and skip the book. What does your gut say?
  • Say no to something unimportant—just to prove to yourself that you can.
  • Track your energy (moon phases, time of day, dreams) not as data, but as conversation with your being.
  • Bless your hands before you create or work. You are the sacred vessel.

Trusting your inner voice and inner knowing builds slowly, like moss growing over a stone.

The more you honor your intuition, the louder it speaks.

Remember when Frasier Crane would say, “I’m listening”? Use that as your mantra.

A Final Note About Rituals to Remember Your Power

The world is loud. Maybe louder than ever.

Even the witchcraft world can be loud and filled with noise.

But wisdom? It whispers.

You don’t need more information although it can be inspirational and helpful.

You just need to remember that you already know

Blessed be.
