Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a sabbat that marks the beginning of the harvest season and the first fruits of the earth. Celebrated around August 1st in the Northern Hemisphere, Lammas is a time to honor the bounty of the land and to give thanks for the blessings of the season.
As the days begin to shorten and the darkness of winter approaches, we can use this time to reflect on the gifts of the past year and to set intentions for the coming season.
